The Mayor


The Town Mayor of Kidsgrove, Councillor Kyle Robinson, Deputy Town Mayor, Councillor Gill Burnett and Town Clerk, Jill Waring (Centre).
The Town Mayor of Kidsgrove for the year 2011/2012 is Councillor Kyle Robinson, the youngest Chairman in the history of the council. His Deputy is Councillor Gill Burnett and Mayor’s consort fellow Councillor, Reginald Bailey.
The Mayor was elected on the 19th May 2011 and will serve for one year. He lives in Kidsgrove and represents the Butt Lane Ward on Newcastle Borough Council and Kidsgrove Town Council. Kyle is a member of the Labour Party and the Co-operative Party.
His chosen charity for this term is ‘Motor Neurone Disease Association’. www.mndassociation.org which will benefit from fund raising events to be held throughout the year.
Kyle is passionate about improving the lives of young people and believes that they can play a bigger part in the well being of the community. He is working with Council members to create a Kidsgrove Youth Parliament which has the backing of Joan Walley MP and other members of Parliament.
