The Town Promotion Committee are pleased to announce the following events will be taking place in Kidsgrove:

FLORENCE BRASS - A free concert on Friday 04 June 2010 at the Victoria Hall. Tickets available from the Town Council Office.

CARNIVAL - Saturday 31 July 2010 in Clough Hall Park. See posters in and around the town, more information to follow.

BEER FEST – In the Victoria Hall, Kidsgrove. Friday 13 August, 4pm-11pm. Saturday 14 August, 11am – 11pm and Sunday 15 August, 11am – 5pm.

VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS MARKET – Saturday 27 November 2010, in the Victoria Hall.

KIDSGROVE CITIZENS AWARDS

Presentations will be made at the Annual Meeting of the Council on Thursday 13 May 2010 to the following people in recognition of their contribution to the town of Kidsgrove and its people.

THE SPITFIRE SOCIETY

The Spitfire Society is to donate a Medallion to be worn by the Town Crier of Kidsgrove to commemorate the life of Reginald Mitchell. The medallion will be delivered to Kidsgrove on Wednesday 19th May following which a presentation will be made to the Town Mayor outside Reginald Mitchell’s Birthplace in Butt Lane later in the year.

On Sunday 19th July 2009 the newly appointed Town Crier of Kidsgrove, John Litherland entered his first international competition held at Market Deeping in Lincolnshire. He won ‘First Prize’ in the Best Dressed Category and then went on in great style to become the ‘Overall Competition Winner’.
